12 Winners for Charm Spirit
Exciting young Windsor Park shuttler Charm Spirit (IRE) added a 12th winner to his tally in the UK overnight with a resounding victory at Windsor for Lively Lydia.
Trained by Eve Johnson Houghton, Lively Lydia bolted clear to win the six furlong maiden by five lengths in a big field of 14.
She was a short priced favourite having finished fifth and third at her first two outings and looked well capable of winning better races.
Lively Lydia is the sixth winner from stakes-placed Daylami mare Coventina.
A triple Group I winning son of Invincible Spirit, Charm Spirit has made a positive impression at Australasian yearling sales this year with his first Southern Hemisphere bred yearlings.
Charm Spirit had 30 yearlings average $112,000 at Karaka Book 1 and also had four yearlings average $2616,250 at the Magic Millions Yearling Sale on the Gold Coast.
His yearlings sold for up to $400,000 with his top seller a filly from Lady Kipling sold by Windsor Park at Karaka.
Jewel Racing was fortunate to secure a cracking colt out of Black Beauty who has had four foals to race for three winners including Beauty’s Beast who has won seven races.
He looks like he will race as a late-two-year-old and will go on to be a classic three-year-old that could get out to the 2000 metres or further.
Share price is $6,119.00 inc GST, this includes ALL costs up to the 31st July 2018 - insurance, sales and veterinary expenses, incentive schemes and race series nominations (Inglis), breaking-in and pre-training, spelling and agistment, and transport. Thereafter, to cover the maintenance, training, and racing of the horse as well as routine veterinary treatments, local travel, spelling and agistment costs, we charge a set monthly fee of $249.00 per 5% share.
