Churchill x National Anthem

A well put together flashy filly with a fantastic pedigree. Her mother is a half-sister to Starspangledbanner who was named Champion Sprinter in both Australia and Europe in 2010 before he retired to stud as a stallion. Also related to Group 1 Thousand Guineas winner Amicus and Stakes performers; Il Cavello, Cheerleader, Gold Chant, Barood and Zaakhira. This filly already has residual value as a broodmare once she finishes her racing career.

Her father Churchill was European Champion 2YO and a Dual Guineas winning miler. This is his first crop of southern hemisphere progeny and they have certainly been well received here in Australia selling for up to $250,000 at the sales so far this year.

This filly has the potential to run as a 2YO like her father, but we expect her to excel as a 3YO over a mile or maybe even further. She will be nominated for the Blue Diamond as an early target. Being sold through the Inglis sales, she is also eligible to run in the Inglis Race Series and would be a good candidate for those races.
