Ready to Launch

In less than one week, the launch of Jewel Racing will take place at Kavanagh Racing’s stables at Flemington Racecourse.

The new and exciting syndication company has been named after Mark Kavanagh’s brilliant four-time Group 1 winning mare, Atlantic Jewel.

Jewel Racing gives owners the chance to race handpicked bloodstock selected by the father and son training team, Kavanagh Racing. Sourced from Australasia’s leading yearling sales, Mark and Levi are responsible for the inspection, preparation and ongoing training of the top-quality group of yearlings that will be the next generation of successful gallopers on the track.  

Bloodstock is offered at its purchase price, setting itself apart from other syndication companies who add a substantial offerors margin. 

The application price for each horse includes the share purchase price, and all costs associated with the share up until 31 July 2018. This includes insurance, sales and veterinary expenses, incentive schemes and race series nominations (ie VOBIS, Magic Millions, Inglis), breaking-in and pre-training, spelling and agistment, and transport. 

Thereafter, owners will be charged a set monthly fee of $249.00. This includes maintaining, training, and racing the horse as well as routine veterinary treatments, and local travel, spelling and agistment costs.

Based at Flemington, the stable’s first class facilities include grass tracks for gallops, sand rolls, horse walkers and a swimming pool, giving every racehorse the premier training environment to excel.

Quite the training team, Mark’s experience complements the drive and enthusiasm Levi brings to the stable. With an honour roll that includes a Blue Diamond, Caulfield Guineas, Maldivian’s Cox Plate and Shocking’s Melbourne Cup, together they are ready to add more Group 1 victories to the list.

Additionally, Jewel Racing proudly recognises how essential it is for new and first-time owners to understand that their racehorse’s welfare will be responsibly managed on retirement.

Upon retirement from the industry, Jewel Racing will provide a complimentary retraining and rehoming service to help facilitate a happy and purposeful future at no further expense to the owners.

So gather your work colleague’s, a group of girlfriends or some old schoolmates and join the team at Jewel Racing on Sunday 6th May at 10am for a yearling parade of horses available and the launch of Jewel Racing at Kavanagh Racing's stables.
