The Jewel in Kavanagh Racing

As the busy yearling sale season wraps up in Australia, there is no better time to introduce Jewel Racing, an exciting new thoroughbred racehorse syndication company based at Flemington Racecourse.

Jewel Racing, the name inspired by Mark Kavanagh’s brilliant four-time Group 1 winning mare, Atlantic Jewel, gives new owners the chance to race handpicked bloodstock selected by the father and son training team, Kavanagh Racing.

Sourced from Australasia’s leading yearling sales, Kavanagh Racing is responsible for the inspection, preparation and ongoing training of a top-quality group of yearlings that will be the next generation of successful gallopers on the track.

“We offer 5% shares in quality bloodstock handpicked by Kavanagh Racing from Australasia’s leading yearling sales. Bloodstock will be offered at its purchase price, setting ourselves apart from other syndication companies who add a substantial offerors margin,” said Jewel Racings Cara Kavanagh.

“To cover the maintenance, training, and racing of your horse, we will charge a set monthly rate of $249.00 per share. We hope that the set monthly price encourages new owners into the game, as the thought of an unknown bill each month can be a deterrent.”

Communication and participation is vital to Jewel Racing, providing informative weekly updates, while owners can attend regular stable visits, race day hospitality and client events.

RSN radio personality Nadia Horne, also part of the Jewel Racing team, said “It is our priority to ensure that our owners have a positive and inclusive racehorse ownership experience. We will provide regular communications including horse updates and host stable visits, racedays and other events throughout the year.”

“Our owners will be entitled to a Racing Victoria Owners Gold Card, racecourse entry tickets, their name in the race book and entry to the mounting yard (access to their horse, jockey and trainer) and owners room when their horse races.

Additionally, Jewel Racing proudly recognises how essential it is for new and first-time owners to understand that their racehorse’s welfare will be responsibly managed on retirement.

“When their horse retires from the industry, we will provide a complimentary retraining and rehoming service to help facilitate a happy and purposeful future at no further expense to the owners,” added Cara.

“The responsible retirement of racehorses is something that is very close to my heart and I’m delighted to be able to offer that service to our owners”.
