We are excited to introduce our Wandjina filly that was purchased from the Inglis Classic Sale earlier this year. She is a beautiful type with a great walk, and we believe she is destined for success being bred on a similar mating cross as multiple Group 1 winners Lankan Rupee and Russian Revolution.
Our filly’s trainer, Levi Kavanagh is looking forward to the daughter of Anabaa’s Legacy joining his team.
“As soon as I saw her at the sales, I knew I had to train her. She was a standout for me,” said Levi.
“She is at the breakers now and all reports have been very promising. I think she will run early like her father, so she will definitely be nominated her for the Blue Diamond and Golden Slipper.”
Her dam Anabaa’s Legacy is a three-quarter sister to Stakes performer Danabaa, who won the Group 2 Yallambee Classic (1200m) and placed in the Group 1 Goodwood Handicap (1200m). She was highly successful on the track herself, winning multiple metropolitan races and stakes performed, but her success as a broodmare is the talk of the town right now.
Our filly is the full sister to Wolf Moon, an unraced two-year-old colt owned by Alligator Blood’s syndicate. Wolf Moon makes his race debut tonight at the Sunshine Coast with the aim to race in next month’s Group 1 JJ Atkins.
Wolf Moon’s owners purchased him direct from the paddock for $125,000. They have since been offered $250,000 by the Waterhouse-Bott Stable, making our filly exceptionally good value.
Their sire Wandjina needs no introduction, by stallion sensation, Snitzel, he has sired multiple Group performers himself in Mamaragan (1200m), Express Pass (1200m) and Grand Scholar (1000m).
He was an early running 2YO winning at 1000m and Stakes placed at 1200m. As a 3YO he won the Group 1 Australian Guineas (1600m) after being placed in the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas (1600m).
A 5% share is $4,380.00, this includes ALL costs up to 31 October 2020 - insurance, sales and veterinary expenses, incentive schemes and race series nominations (Inglis), breaking-in and pre-training, spelling and agistment, and transport. But rather than paying the share price upfront, we are offering her for six equal monthly payments of $730.00 (May to October inclusive). Thereafter, to cover the maintenance, training, and racing of the horse as well as routine veterinary treatments, local travel, spelling and agistment costs, we charge a set monthly fee of $249.00.
This is the only horse we are offering on a payment plan, and with all the hype around her full brother, she might be the one.

A Day to Remember
Derby Day was certainly a day to remember for HE IS’s owners. Despite the colt running below expectations, they were all beyond happy to be there and couldn’t thank Jewel Racing enough for making it possible.

Our Derby Dream
He Is, a Derby contender for this year’s AMMI Victoria Derby will carry the hopes and dreams of many into the race and give his owners the thrill of a lifetime.

He Is A Winner
He Is lived up to expectations yesterday, winning easily over 1200m at Echuca. His trainer Mark Kavanagh has always had a high opinion of the three-year-old colt and looks forward to racing him over more distance.
